Ombudsman “LPR” asked to replace People’s Deputy Tretyakov in the TCG

The Kiev authorities should replace their representative in the TCG for Donbass, Galina Tretyakova, who mocked the death of politician Anton Polyakov, with the head of the political council of the Opposition Platform – For Life (Opposition Platform – For Life) party, Viktor Medvedchuk. This, with reference to the words of the representative of the “LPR” Olga Skobtseva, are reported by local Telegram channels.
She noted that such a proposal was also related to the lack of progress in the negotiation process. “
“Medvedchuk has established himself as an obligatory negotiator: the topics that were discussed at the meetings of the Contact Group, then received practical steps,” Kobtseva noted.
According to her, in exchange for this, their side offers to extradite to Kiev three women who are in places of imprisonment in the territories not controlled by Ukraine.
Scandal with Tretyakova
- On October 8, the day of Anton Polyakov’s death, at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, the deputies announced that Tretyakova in the factional chat of “servants” mocked the death of the deputy, writing: “one enemy less.”
- On the same day, Tretyakova disgraced herself with a new correspondence about Polyakov, asking the deputies not to remind her that she was on a committee that fights for the rights of people.
- Soon, Tretyakova announced that she was not happy about the death of People’s Deputy Anton Polyakov, and expressed her opinion on the issue of life and death. She is also ready to leave the post of head of the committee, if her political forces decide so.
- The Rada has already come up with a punishment for Tretyakova. The head of the “SN” faction David Arahamia said that the deputy would be removed from plenary sessions. But this may not be the end of it.
What is incriminated to Medvedchuk
Viktor Medvedchuk is suspected of high treason, violation of the laws and customs of war, sponsoring ORDLO militants and fraud with coal. He shines from 12 years in prison to life. Among the charges brought against him:
- attempted plundering of natural resources (according to the investigation, in 2015 the defendants in the case entered into an agreement with an official of the Russian government to extract minerals on the Black Sea shelf);
- the transfer of information containing state secrets to the Russian special services (in 2020, Medvedchuk allegedly transferred information about a secret unit of the Ukrainian army to Kozak, who was at that time in Russia);
- anti-Ukrainian activity (Medvedchuk is suspected of intending to create an “infrastructure of influence” through the Ukrainians working in the Russian Federation);
- sponsoring terrorism through one of the Ukrainian banks with the permission of the country’s top officials.
On August 20, Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova announced that the investigation into Medvedchuk had been completed – preparations were underway to consider the case in court in essence.
On October 8, Putin’s godfather was informed of a new suspicion, and on October 12, they even tried to change his measure of restraint from house arrest to a pre-trial detention center with the possibility of a billion hryvnia bail. But the court left him under house arrest until December 7.
