(ANSA) – BARI, 04 NOV – “The only thing I ask is that no one forget them, you have to stay close with the memory of these guys”. Nicla Partipilo, the mother of Marco Partipilo, Bari Air Force pilot officer, who died with 7 other soldiers of the Brindisi CSAR in October 2008 in a helicopter accident while they were going to Belgium for an exercise, handed over today to the President of the Senate Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati a photo with the faces and names of the eight “angels of Csar”.
“Do not forget our children,” said the woman, handing the photo into the hands of President Casellati on the sidelines of the ceremony in the Shrine of the Overseas Fallen in Bari on the occasion of National Unity and Armed Forces Day.
“Marco was the youngest of the crew, he was almost 29 years old – says his mother – he was full of life, a great Bari fan, and he gave his all to others. I only ask that he not be forgotten”. (HANDLE).
