(ANSA) – MILAN, NOV 11 – Brembo celebrates the 60th anniversary of its foundation by planting a forest of over 14,000 trees and donating them to all Group employees around the world. The forest will rise in Kenya, in the Lake Victoria region, and Brembo will build it in partnership with Treedom, the first web platform that allows you to plant trees remotely and follow the history of the project they are part of.
“This forestry project is consistent with the objectives that emerged from the Cop26 in Glasgow and is the demonstration that sustainable growth is a possible goal through cooperation between different realities”, says Cristina Bombassei, director of corporate social responsibility at Brembo. “At Brembo – he adds – we have a strong culture of sustainability, which is expressed in the rational use of resources, in the recycling of materials, in the reduction of emissions and in our strategy to create ever greener products. The forest becomes part of our global commitment, with which we wanted to seize the impulse of the United Nations, which invite not only governments and individuals, but also companies to play an active role in the challenge against climate change “.
