The province of Parma conquers the top of the ranking on the quality of life, followed on the podium by Trento and Bolzano. The quality of life is defined as “good” or “acceptable” in 63 provinces out of 107, last year it was 60 out of 107. Translated into population terms, 22 million 255 thousand residents (equal to 37.4% of the Italian population) live in areas characterized by a poor or insufficient quality of life, compared to the 25 million 649 thousand residents of the previous edition, equal to 42.5% of the population.
