A series of huge collisions on the A1 motorway, in the stretch between Piacenza and Parma, with 25 vehicles involved: the thick fog caused the accidents. Twenty-five are injured, of which 17 are minor, six are of medium severity and two are serious, the latter were urgently transported to the Maggiore hospital in Parma. The alarm went off shortly after 8 am between kilometers 75 and 85 in the direction of Bologna.
Complex rescues: in several cases the firefighters pulled injured people from the wreckage of cars. The injured, according to an update at 11.30, are at least 25: of these two are code 3, of maximum severity, transported urgently to the Maggiore hospital in Parma (one is in intensive care), of the other six are code 2 (medium severity), the remainder all with minor injuries. Bags of blood had also been rushed to the scene. Over twenty emergency vehicles were involved.
Just before 11 The stretch between Parma and the A1/A21 junction (Piacenza) is once again passable in the direction of Milan. The section towards Bologna remains closed. Currently, Autostrade informs, there is a four kilometer queue, for a closed stretch, between Basso Lodigiano and the A1/Inizio Complanare Piacenza junction towards Bologna. There is a five kilometer queue in the direction of Milan between the junction for the A1/A15 and Fiorenzuola. Those traveling towards Bologna are advised to exit at Piacenza Ovest, on the A21 Turin-Brescia, take the ordinary road system and then return to the A1 at Parma. For long journeys, users traveling from Milan to Bologna are advised to take the A4 Milan-Brescia and, subsequently, the A22 Brennero-Modena.

Fog also on the A22, particularly thick in the stretch between Mantua and Carpi. A safety car service is active to standardize transit speeds and guarantee the maximum possible safety for those traveling. The posted speed limit is 50 kilometers per hour. Apart from some minor collisions, all without injuries, traffic is currently normal, the company informs. Visibility is around 70 metres. All Autostrada del Brennero staff, assisted by numerous traffic police patrols, are mobilised.
Fog banks also between Verona and Modena, at the moment without closures. In recent days, a stretch of approximately 80 kilometers had been closed for three days in a row.
