On the border with Belarus, the Polish military opened fire when migrants tried to cross into the country. This was reported on the website of the Belarusian State Border Committee.
“A group of desperate refugees decided to independently proceed to the territory of Poland. This time the Polish security forces met the refugees with automatic bursts,” the message says.
Last time, Polish border guards were forced to use pepper gas to contain migrants.
According to the ministry, on November 23, two people approached the fence to ask about the opportunity to apply for refugee status.
“The men did not undertake any aggressive actions. Despite the peaceful appeals of the refugees, the Polish servicemen simply sprayed pepper gas,” the State Border Committee noted.
When one of them tried to seek medical help, “the Polish servicemen who watched the torture of the foreigner simply grinned.”
At the same time, the refugees are “pushed to desperate steps” by the lack of reaction from the European Union and the brutality of the Polish side, the committee is convinced.
What happens on the Belarusian-Polish border
- Belarus arranged a “migration terror” for Poland, directing the flows of refugees to the border of the European Union. For example, on November 8, a large column of migrants from the territory of Belarus moved to the border with Poland. They were accompanied by Belarusian security officials in military uniform and with weapons, some of them with service dogs. The State Border Service of Belarus said that they were doing this allegedly because of the indifference of the Polish authorities.

- On November 23, at about 19:00, a group of more than 100 aggressive foreigners tried to forcefully break through the border. Stones were thrown at the Polish security forces. The attack took place under the supervision of the Belarusian services.
