(ANSA) – GENOA, 02 DEC – The Guardia di Finanza of Sarzana, during normal checks of the territory at the motorway toll booth, arrested an Albanian citizen and seized over 6 kg of pure cocaine for a value, cut and on the market, of over 1 and a half million euros. The military was suspicious of the attitude of the Albanian who was driving a van with a Spanish license plate. Once he got out of the toll booth and stopped, the financiers gave the green light to the drug dog who immediately ‘pointed’ at the box near the floor of the van. Thus, the Gdf identified a double bottom made by hand in the metal part of the floor where a bag containing 7 heat-sealed and vacuum-sealed nylon casings, impregnated with synthetic grease for vehicles, was hidden.
The drug was found inside the wrappers: 6 kg and 150 grams of pure cocaine, which was confiscated together with the van used for transport. The driver, with numerous specific precedents, was arrested and accompanied to the Massa prison. The drug, characterized by a very high degree of purity, sold at retail would have yielded about 1.5 million euros. (HANDLE).
