“In consideration of the organizational and security needs related to the celebration of the Holy Funeral Mass in suffrage of the Holy Father, the educational institution is asked to close the school complexes for the whole day, if there have already been days of suspension of the teaching activities for the anniversary of April 25”, reads the circular of the regional school office.
“The closure of the school premises, even in the absence of teaching activities, will facilitate the implementation of the measures of public order and logistical management of the event, thus contributing to the regular performance of the celebrations in safety conditions. Therefore, to the school managers and the coordinators of the didactic activities to provide with the utmost concern for the adoption of the related measures and to communicate to families and school personnel”.
Many schools are closed given the long ‘bridge’ due to the Easter holidays and the holiday of April 25th. The few schools remained open will however be closed in view of the Pope’s funeral which are scheduled for 10 am on Saturday 26 April.
