All this to the detriment of the Italian taxpayers and the numerous operators of the show who work in full legitimacy. We will not allow this to happen, we will ascertain all responsibility and behave accordingly: with rigor and discernment, to protect the honorable cinema. Little Andromeda was killed a few days before taking a year of life. And from his past unpredictable elements continue to emerge every day: in 2020 he would have obtained the tax benefit of 863,595.90 euros for the production of the film ‘Stars of the night’, in which Ford appears as a director. The Ministry has started checks and if irregularities emerge “in addition to the immediate revocation of the benefit granted – explains the Dicastery – the producer would be excluded from the benefits of the Cinema Law for 5 years and the cases emerged would be reported to the competent judicial bodies”.
Meanwhile, the investigators also thanks to the collaboration of the FBI and the Maltese authorities – an island on which Anastasia had arrived in September 2023 – managed to ascertain who the “tattoo woman” was, that body already in an advanced state of decomposition on which it was at the moment, it is impossible to ascertain the causes of death. Little Andromeda Ford, as shown in the practice launched by Kaufmann to the American embassy of La Valletta, was instead strangled by the father on the evening of June 6 and left near a hedge in the large green area of the capital.
Useful to reconstruct the 28 -year -old’s experience will be the story of the girl’s mother – when he will be heard by the investigators – identified thanks to a witness who contacted the transmission “Who saw it?”. Definite for the recognition by the mother, a tattoo that the girl had on one foot: “She is my daughter,” she said without hesitation. In a video call on May 27, Anastasia had “presented” Kaufmann, who had reassured the woman about her intentions to want to start a family. In an email sent on June 2, the girl had however admitted that things with that mysterious man were not going well, even if they were trying to solve the problems. But just after that message, things took a dramatic turn, culminating with the discovery of the bodies.
Nobody, however, had filed a disappearance complaint and therefore the research turned into a real obstacle race. It was a friend of the mother, according to what he reconstructed ‘who saw him’, suspicious of the girl’s silence, to seek man’s name on the net and find the appeal on the social networks of the transmission linked to the bodies found in Rome. At that point he called.
Now the attention focuses on Kaufmann (detained in the Larissa prison), who also used an Italian alias, Matteo Capozzi, name with which he had purchased a telephone sim after his arrival in Rome, perhaps showing an additional false document. The “fake director and producer” had moved to Malta perhaps already in 2021, but only in September 2023 he came into contact with the Russian girl. The woman gave birth to Andromeda on June 14, 2024, but after a few months the Californian decides to leave. The investigators are at work to understand exactly where the three lived and if they were hosted by other people. He searched for a house in Rome, also in the Aurelio and Monteverde neighborhoods. His lifestyle was not by clochard: credit cards were financed by parents in California. On the street he did not go unnoticed: at least three or four identifications made by the police, the last of which when Anastasia was already dead. The man was stopped with the girl in his arms and showed the passport without providing further explanations on the absence of the mother. And precisely on this police activity, the Quaestor of Rome, Roberto Massucci, in agreement with the police chief Vittorio Pisani, ordered a “punctual reconstruction” of all the episodes to check for any flaws in the checks on Kaufmann.
