AfD and BSW approach: This unholy alliance must be prevented

If the word “turnaround” had not been used so often – but it really fit here. BSW and AfD approach. That is evil, no question. This has to be prevented, no question. But how? That is the question. The answer is immensely important. It is decided on her whether this turns turned from this turning point.

Why break epoch? Because everything that our society, as we know it, could break. It is not just a saying for political poetry album that democracy is not a matter of course. What should last forever has to prove itself every day.

If you do not want AfD and BSW, the right -wing national and the left -wing national, an unholy alliance that stems to the basic values of this republic must now be held accountable, but quickly. Another question: Has everything been done so far to prevent strengthening on the edges? Then only the numerical strength can be reduced in percent and sitting in parliaments.

In Thuringia, of all people, where the dreaded right wing Björn Höcke is at home, it started: BSW parliamentary group leader Frank Augsten was looking for a conversation with the AfD vormann because there is a blockade in the occupation of important judicial bodies. The AfD is the strongest force in the Thuringian state parliament, has more than a third of the seats, and briefly a blocking minority. It is specifically about naming judges and prosecutors for life.

There could be further approaches, beyond Thuringia

Yes, a serious problem. How to solve without talking? That, says the BSW, is the reason. The talks are to be continued after the summer break. Only the BSW, firstly, with the SPD and CDU is in the so-called blackberry coalition. And then secondly, it becomes an even greater serious problem: it could continue with the approach, beyond Thuringia.

This is not just speculation. Although the BSW is not represented in the Bundestag, “strategic” conversations between Sahra Wagenknecht and the AfD are already being considered publicly. AfD boss Tino Chrupalla, of course, praises the contacts in Thuringia without reason. A collaboration, he says, is in the interest of the voters.

You already have common opponents

What the goal can be: to build a blocking minority together in as many parliaments. To the majority. Together they have the political opponents, CDU, CSU, SPD, Greens, FDP.

What is a fact: Chrupalla and his colleague Alice Weidel are available for talks with Sahra Wagenknecht, “always”. And in Chrupalla’s words, there are discussions “about what moves Germany and how to change majorities”. Where to change?

4.981

percent The BSW had the vote in the past Bundestag election – and thus narrowly failed on the move into the Bundestag.

Well, this can be read: The Thuringian AfD has been classified by the state constitutional protection since 2021 as secure right -wing extremist. Höcke is a spokesman for the outermost right throughout the AfD. At 4.981 percent, the BSW had missed moving into the Bundestag and called for a “consistent peace policy” and a “stop of uncontrolled migration” in election campaigns. That sounds … yes, after existing proximity.

The AfD is currently losing ground in surveys and cannot really score in opposition to the Merz government in the federal government. A partner is missing for power. The BSW, in turn, also loses approval, nationwide. This moment of weakness must use the policy of the Democrats.

There it is, the question: but how? One answer can be: through politics that is suitable for everyday use in every respect, so that people feel the advantage of good government work. By clear edge in the form of criminal charges against those who comment on the constitution. By rapid examination of regional AfD bans-and through the challenge that lies in permanent discussions. It’s about those who have only strayed to AfD and BSW, Christian Democrats, Social Democrats. Time to get them back.
