(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, DEC 24 – The investigations began on April 18 when the police intervened in an apartment in via Sant’Isaia, in the center of Bologna, where the body of an 81-year-old man was found. Right from the start it seemed that the elderly man had had a meeting with a woman, who in the past few hours was tracked down and arrested in Novara, with a measure of custody in prison on charges of home theft and improper withdrawal of cards credit. On the other hand, a causal link has not been established between the drug intake, suspected by the young woman, a Romanian prostitute about 25 years old hired by the pensioner, and death.
The outer gate of the front door had been found open in the apartment, while the cell phone and wallet were missing. On the bed there was a women’s garment and in the living room two glasses, while the man lived alone. An analysis of the phone records confirmed the contacts made two days earlier with the Romanian, whose footprints were also found in the house. Also the woman, from 16 to 18 April, would be responsible for withdrawals from ATMs with the card stolen from the elderly.
From the toxicological tests it emerged that the victim had taken substances that were not among the prescribed drugs: it is believed that she made him take medicines with sleeping effects and then stole him. The investigations of the mobile squad made it possible to trace the woman, who was taken to prison in Vercelli. (HANDLE).
