People’s Deputy from “European Solidarity” Alexei Goncharenko was elected Vice-President of the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The politician announced this in his Telegram channel.

“I was elected vice-president of the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. This post was occupied for the first time by a Ukrainian! We continue to work in PACE and defend democratic values ​​and human rights,” he wrote.

In addition, 18 vice-presidents were appointed, in particular, the deputy head of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Yevgeniya Kravchuk, was re-elected to the post of vice-president of ALDE (Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe).

Pro-Russian politician Tiny Cox has become President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Ukraine in PACE

The delegation of Ukraine in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe appealed against the powers of the delegation of the Russian Federation. Now the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will prepare a report on the powers of the Russian delegation. The final decision will be made on January 26.
