(ANSA) – SAN GIOVANNI IN FIORE, JANUARY 27 – Two people were arrested in San Giovanni in Fiore by the carabinieri of the Compagnia di Cosenza as part of an investigation into alleged sexual abuse suffered by two underage sisters, one of whom is disabled. Those arrested are the alleged perpetrator of the violence, a 46-year-old, and the 48-year-old mother of the victims. For the first, pre-trial detention was ordered in prison, while the mother of the two girls was granted house arrest. The father of the girls, however, also 46 years old, was notified of an obligation to report to the judicial police.
The alleged perpetrator of the abuse is accused of aggravated sexual violence, while the parents of the victims are challenged for having participated in the same crime.
According to what emerged from the investigations, launched by the carabinieri of San Giovanni in Fiore, the sexual violence against the two sisters took place in the girls’ home. The 46-year-old, whenever he talked with minors, left a few euros at home.
The parents of the victims are accused, in particular, of having facilitated the commission of sexual abuse against their daughters, allowing the 46-year-old access to their home and the exclusive use of a bedroom.
Furthermore, for the parents of the two girls, the investigating judge also ordered the suspension of parental authority. (HANDLE).
