(ANSA) – AGRIGENTO, JANUARY 27 – The Prosecutor of Agrigento, led by Luigi Patronaggio, has appointed the coroner to carry out the autopsy on the four victims of the Safarello district massacre in Licata (Ag). The coroner will begin today with the tests that will be carried out in the mortuary of the “San Giovanni di Dio” hospital in Agrigento, but it seems unlikely that they will be completed within the day.

Meanwhile, the carabinieri of the Licata company have ascertained that Diego Tardino, the forty-four year old killed with his wife and two children aged 15 and 11 by his brother Angelo who later committed suicide, also had a pistol regularly held. However, the weapon remained inside the safe, in his country house. The victim, in fact, did not expect his older brother to be armed and yesterday morning, early in the morning, he quietly opened the door to his house. Investigators failed to open Diego Tardino’s safe and called the firefighters and a blacksmith in the evening. Inside was found a gun regularly held by the victim. The man also had a rifle, found in the house, and an old carbine. Angelo Tardino, 48, who took his own life after killing his brother, sister-in-law and two grandchildren had 4 weapons, also regularly reported. (HANDLE).
