The Council of AGCOM, in light of the monitoring data, has adopted a RAI reference measure and all the providers of audiovisual and radio media services operating nationally, so that they guarantee adequate information coverage on the five topics subject to the referendums organized for the days 8 and 9 June. The call – informs a note – “aims to offer citizens correct, impartial and complete information on referendum questions and on the reasons in support of the voting options”.
The broadcasters – recalls the AGCOM note – are required to implement the resolution of Authority no. 102/25/Cons and, as regards Rai, to the provision of April 2, 2025 of the parliamentary commission for the general address and supervision of radio and television services.
“Both regulations, which bear the regulation of the referendums – is explained -, focus with particular attention to the need to ensure an adequate discussion of the referendum themes, in order to guarantee complete, impartial and correct information on the questions”.
