Children particularly at risk

UV radiation can not only lead to sunburn, but is considered the main cause of skin cancer. Even with cloudy sky, you should be careful-clouds do not block the radiation completely, and reflective surfaces such as water, sand or light facades additionally increase the UV load.

Children, people with light skin and people with a sensitive skin type are particularly at risk. A particularly high need for protection applies to them. The UV index of weather services and the BFS should always be observed and the protective measures should be adjusted accordingly.
