Federal Prosecutor’s Office: Terror plans at Swift concert: Major helper charged

The Federal Prosecutor has charged a young person who is said to have helped a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna to prepare a attack last summer. As the Karlsruhe authority announced, the Syrian was in contact with the young man from Austria, who is said to have planned an explosive attack on the music concert.

The young person helped the Austrian by translating a bomb building man from Arabic and contacting a member of the terrorist militia Islamic State (IS) abroad, it said. In addition, he is said to have sent him a text template for the loyalty rig, which it is said to have used in order to join the organization as a member. According to the federal prosecutor, the accused is at large.

Three concerts canceled due to suspicion of terrorism

The Federal Prosecutor’s Office at the State Protection Senate of the Chamber Court in Berlin raised charges against the alleged accomplice. He is accused of supporting a terrorist association abroad and preparing a serious violence at risk. From mid -July to August 2024 he is said to have been in contact with the Austrian. Next, the Berlin Chamber Court has to decide whether and when it starts a process.

Investigations continue in Austria
