The coalition tips of the Union and the SPD have after five hours of negotiations not to be informed of an additional reduction in electricity tax for households. According to the results paper from Wednesday evening, the previous planning remains. Only when there are new financial scopethe households could also be relieved even more.
Union and SPD pointed out that the households are already through the partial assumption of the network fees and the gas storage levy would be supported in the energy costs. A four -member household could Save 100 euros a year.
Faster than previously planned the extended mother’s pension should come: Instead of 2028, it should take effect in 2027. If the implementation is technically not possible so quickly, it will be paid retrospectively.
The electricity tax reduction to a minimum of 2.05 cents to 0.1 cents per kilowatt hour for all – including households – was promised in the coalition agreement. In previous plans, however, it should only be implemented for companies. The cost of the household costs would cost an additional 5.4 billion euros.
Especially from the Union, it was required to extend the tax cut to households. In the SPD leadership around Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil, this had caused upset because the energy package was previously coordinated together. The Ministry of Finance only wanted to agree to a further reduction in the tax with reputable counter -financing, which would also have to raise Union -led ministries.
The extended mother’s pension is now to be paid out in 2027 instead of 2028. She should make sure that the pension also counted for three years of child rearing for children born before 1992. So far it has been two and a half years. The project has particularly pushed the CSU. The pension insurance had stated that it was hardly possible to implement this in 2027. In the event that this is actually not possible, the additional contributions should also flow retrospectively from 2028, it says in the paper. (Reuters)
