(ANSA) – LOS ANGELES, MAR 12 – LeBron James never ceases to amaze: at the age of 37 he scored 50 points in the Lakers’ victory over Washington, in an NBA night that saw Spurs coach Gregg Popovich become the manager with more wins in the regular season. Barely a week after scoring 56 points in the home win over the Warriors, LeBron James repeated himself against the Wizards, becoming the first Laker since Kobe Bryant in 2007 to score two home games to 50 points or more. A more than welcome gift for Los Angeles, which has only won three of the last ten games and still stagnates, after this success (122-109), at 9th place in the Western Conference.
James, in particular, scored 12 points in a row for his team in the third quarter. With 50 points, seven rebounds and six assists, he still narrowly missed a record … He missed two assists to become the first player in the NBA with 30,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 10,000 assists.
