(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 18 – The match valid for the European middleweight title between the reigning champion Matteo Signani and the French challenger Anderson Prestot, scheduled for tomorrow in Massy’s transalpine ring, has been postponed due to an abscess in a tooth that forced Signani to a small operation which ended with two stitches. At that point, and given the swollen face of the Romagna ‘Jaguar’, the organization of the match could not help but postpone the event to the end of May-June.
“I am very disappointed, indeed destroyed – the comment of Signani -, I feel terrible, especially psychologically because I threw away three months of training, and sacrifices for the diet. It all happened last night, and to think that I felt great” .
