‘A Century of Blue’, an exhibition not to be missed in Tivoli

(ANSA) – TIVOLI, APRIL 30 – The Amedeo di Savoia Duca d’Aosta National Boarding School opens its doors, from 2 to 7 May 2022, to an important historical exhibition of the Italian national football team. In fact, the exhibition “A Blue Century”, promoted by the S.Anna Association (accredited to the Chamber of Deputies), and curated by Mauro Grimaldi, managing director of Federcalcio Servizi, will be hosted by the National Boarding School of Tivoli.

The exhibition, sponsored by Figc, Anci and Adicosp, presents a careful selection among the original memorabilia, such as the footballs and shoes of the late 19th century, the shirts of the 1950s, such as that of Amedeo Amadei, the shirts of the Sixties and Seventies like that of Gianni Rivera, up to the more recent ones of Paolo Rossi, Vialli, Totti, Buffon, Verratti and many other champions.

The sports narrative on display also wants to be a container of events organized to stimulate knowledge of the universe that revolves around football, a ‘keystone’ for interacting with the territory, in openness and dialogue with people, schools and institutions of various degree. The inaugural ribbon cutting will take place on 2 May 2022 at 3.30 pm, in the presence of the local authorities and partners: the curator Mauro Grimaldi, the promoters Aldo Rossi Merighi and Sabrina Trombetti, and Francesco Meloni, Head of the Figc Area.

Also on May 2, and only on this day, the original Euro 2000 cup, won by Italy at Wembley in the summer of 2021, will be exhibited in the Aula Magna del Convitto.

“Back to home, back to Rome, welcome to Tivoli!” will be open from 2 to 7 May, from 9 to 18, with free admission but by reservation. (HANDLE).
