Berrettini: ‘I’m happy to be back, but it won’t be easy’

“The preparation is good. I’m happy to be here, it’s always nice to go back to a place where I played well in the past.” So Matteo Berrettini, on the eve of his return to the field at the tournament on the grass in Stuttgart, where he restarts more than two months after the operation on his right hand.
“Grass is a surface on which I adapt well, my tennis works. The last game I played on this surface, I was talking about it with my team a few days ago, is the Wimbledon final …”, he added the Roman tennis player, in an interview with SuperTennis.
“I really want to go back but I know it will not be easy because the injury was complicated to solve – continued Berrettini -. I have lost a bit of strength, the sensitivity is not yet 100% but I am fine. It is certainly difficult to find the rhythm of the tournament but I feel ready. It is important to play as many games as possible in Stuttgart and then at Queen’s “.
