Egypt changes coach again, Galal sacked

(ANSA) – CAIRO, JUN 17 – Ehab Galal was sacked from the post of coach of the Egyptian national football team, two months after taking over from Portuguese Carlos Queiroz. This was reported today by media such as Albawaba, relaunching an announcement made yesterday by the Egyptian Football Association which motivated the torpedo with the “negative results” obtained by the former Pyramids and Zamalek coach. The Federation also announced that it is “evaluating the names of some foreign coaches in view of starting negotiations”.

Egypt, without the injured captain Mohamed Salah and several other key players, had been beaten 2-0 by Ethiopia on Thursday last week in a qualifying match for the 2023 Africa Cup. last edition of the Nations Cup against Senegal on penalties in the February final and the following month, in the 2022 World Cup play-offs, she was defeated again against Senegal, albeit always on penalties.

The Portuguese Queiroz had resigned having failed to agree on the terms of a new contract (ANSA).
