(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 18 – In Brasilia Italy won the fourth consecutive success (the sixth overall) Women’s Volleyball Nations League beating the hosts of Brazil 3-1 (25-17, 25-15, 14- 25, 25-14). Top scorer of the match Paola Egonu (22 points) offensive spearhead of a perfect Italy in service and reception and relentless on the wall in the three dominated sets (super impact of Lubian and Bonifacio). Italy therefore closes the second week of Volleyball Nations League with a haul of 4 wins (after the two in Ankara) and will now be able to launch the definitive assault on the Ankara Final in the last week of VNL qualification.
Tomorrow the blue will return to Italy to enjoy a few days of rest before meeting on 23 June at the Centro Pavesi in Milan to prepare the last decisive VNL Pool scheduled in Sofia (Bulgaria) from 28 June to 3 July.
