(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 22 – Italy opened its second week of the Nations League volleyball by beating Germany 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-22) in Manila at the end of a test very solid which allows to register the fourth victory in the general classification. The Azzurri, led on the bench by coach Nicola Giolito, will face Japan next Friday.
From the first set, Giannelli and his companions took over the game, putting their opponents in great difficulty. In the second set, Germany tried to react, but never seriously put the Italian team in difficulty.
In the third set, the Azzurri dominated the early stages. Ahead 17-10, they ran into a series of errors that gave hope back to Germany, which also found a good contribution from the serve and moved to 17-15. In the following stages, Italy pulled out of the difficulties and with determination held out until the final 25-22. (HANDLE).
