Sampdoria: the new shirts made in the name of tradition

(ANSA) – GENOA, 11 JUL – In the name of tradition with a tribute to the city of Genoa. Here are the new jerseys for the next season of Marco Giampaolo’s Sampdoria.

There are three kits, plus that of the goalkeeper, presented today and created by the Macron company. The “Home” shirt features the traditional royal blue blucerchiata jersey with the four horizontal bands, white, red, black and white again, in the center of the shirt and also present on the back. The V-neck in knitwear with Sampdoria details and the backneck is personalized with the colors of the shirt and the writing in Genoese dialect ‘Pe Zêna e pe Sàn Zòrzo’ (For Genoa and for San Giorgio), motto of the Republic of Genoa. The inscription ‘Genoa 12 August 1946’, the date of the birth of the Sampdoria club, is then inserted in the external reverse. The away shirt, which features a patch with the shield of St. George on the chest, is completely white with a crew neck and Sampdoria edges.

Then there is a third amber-colored shirt with a mandarin collar with the central Sampdoria band at chest height.

Finally, the goalkeeper’s shirt with the emblem of San Giorgio that stands out in the center is turquoise.

For the second consecutive year the main sponsor will be Banca Ifis, whose brand will also be present on the jerseys of the first women’s team.

“We are happy to consolidate such an important partnership with an institute that is so strongly rooted in our city,” said President Lanna.

“This agreement further strengthens our proximity to an area that is also important for our business – added Ernesto Fürstenberg Fassio, vice president of Banca Ifis – and will allow us to be alongside the Sampdoria fans”. (HANDLE).
