(ANSA) – MILAN, 27 JUL – “A useful and fruitful meeting that allowed us to take stock of the situation. Everything is proceeding as planned and we are therefore optimistic to be able to achieve the goals we have set for ourselves”: is the comment by the president of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana after the meeting with the president of Coni Giovanni Malagò, organized to discuss the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics.
On the occasion, the governor and Malagò also ‘unveiled’ the window decals that for a few days have adorned the east and west windows of Palazzo Lombardia. These are two giant photographs depicting a skier and a snowborder engaged in the Lombard mountains, visible even from far away.
Outside the main entrance of Palazzo Lombardia, from today, alongside the tricolor, the EU flag and the Rosa Camuna, which has always represented the Lombard territory, the banner specially created for the 2026 Games also flies inside which was also affixed the logo of the Paralympic Games.
“The ‘branding’ of Palazzo Lombardia – said Fontana – is a way to communicate to citizens what we are trying to achieve, so that more and more people are curious: the 2026 Olympics will be an event that will leave its mark”. Finally, as Malagò pointed out, Paris is also implementing similar branding actions in view of 2024: “A way to involve citizens – concluded the Coni president – and make them loyal to this type of message”.
