The world champion in rapid chess (Astana, 2012) and the world champion in blitz (Doha, 2016), who in 2009 renounced Ukrainian citizenship in favor of Russian, took part in the Life and Fate program on the Spas propaganda channel. In an interview with Boris Korchevnikov, the 33-year-old native of Simferopol said that he was fond of the Russian army.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Karjakin, he supported the “SVO” and demonstrated z-symbols in every possible way, for which he received a six-month disqualification from FIDE.

“We never conduct military operations by terrorist methods. We do not kill civilians. We behave quite noblely. And on the other hand, they have no prohibitions, and no principles,” Karyakin said pathetically.

In response, Korchevnikov supported his interlocutor.

“The fact that we are fighting, as you say nobly, is really not our weakness, it is a colossal strength. Yes, it is more difficult to fight like this. It is much easier to destroy everything in an American way, but this is not our method. It is more difficult, but in the long run “It will be a huge victory. And it’s also about your personal life and destiny. You supported a Russian soldier: in the short term, this is not profitable, but in the long term, this is a colossal victory on all fronts. The whole world will be grateful to you,” the presenter said.

As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS reported, on June 2, Karyakin received the state award of the aggressor country. The network called this event a real shame and questioned the official reason for such a decision by the authorities.
