The authoritative German newspaper Bild has published the names of Russian athletes who will not be able to participate in international tournaments in the near future. These athletes are subject to a new International Olympic Committee (IOC) ban.

On March 28, the IOC recommended that those athletes from the Russian Federation who actively supported the war in Ukraine, as well as those associated with the security forces of the aggressor country, not be allowed under the neutral flag.

  • Swimmer Yevgeny Rylov. At a pro-government rally on March 8, 2022, the world swimming champion walked onto the stage wearing a Z symbol, for which he was suspended from major competitions for nine months.
