Ukrainian judoka Daria Beloded received a disqualification mark for hansoku-make at the Grand Slam stage in Antalya, Turkey. A 22-year-old from Kiev in the semifinal match in the 57 kg weight category against the reigning world champion Rafaela Silva from Brazil made an illegal hold, for which she was punished by the judges.
At some point in the fight, the Ukrainian woman incorrectly grabbed her opponent by the hand, which the judges interpreted as a “dangerous effect on the elbow joint.” Realizing what she was doing wrong, Daria immediately let go of her admiration, but the experienced Brazilian woman showed with her whole appearance how much she was in pain, screaming, grabbing her “damaged place”.
Note that this was the second disqualification in a row for our two-time world champion. On February 16, she completed her performance at the Grand Slam stage in Tel Aviv, Israel ahead of schedule.
“The second competition, the same mistake. When Dasha gets a little tired, the movements become not clear enough, and this causes such mistakes,” Vitaliy Dubrova, head coach of the Ukrainian national judo team, commented on the situation to the Public.
