(ANSA) – ROME, NOVEMBER 05 – Marcello Lippi today visited the Football Museum in Coverciano. The coach of the 2006 world champion in Berlin paused in particular in front of the ball of the final on 9 July 2006 and told the anecdotes related to a game that remains in history. “Reliving that fantastic evening through the shirts and shoes of ‘my’ players, my polo shirt and the ball of the final is always an emotion – said Lippi – are memories that still live today and that are handed down to young people”.
The former Azzurri selector was led by Matteo Marani, president of the Football Museum Foundation, on the tour that started from the first match of the national team on May 15, 1910 up to Euro 2020. At the end of the visit, Lippi greeted the ‘ team ‘of the Football Museum.
