The national team of Latvia on hockey in 1/2 endings of the world championship has conceded to a command of Canada. The match in Finnish Tampere ended with the score 4:2.
For the Latvians, who made their way to this stage of the tournament for the first time in history, the game started well. Wards of Harijs Vitolinsh, urged on by their own fans, opened the scoring already in the 8th minute.
Canada equalized in the second period, and managed to turn the tide in the third. At the 48th second, Jack Queen scored an incredible puck from almost zero angle.
And in the 9th minute, 18-year-old child prodigy Adam Fantilli converted a solo pass.
Confused Latvians for the remaining time and could not translate the game into overtime. In the last seconds, the Canadians scored the 4th puck into an empty net, when the Latvian team removed the goalkeeper.
At 18:20 Kyiv time, the second semi-final of the USA – Germany started.
It should be noted that a week ago, Russia’s main propaganda channel, Match TV, suspended the broadcasting of Latvia’s matches at the Ice Hockey World Cup, excluding both live broadcasts and reruns.
