In the 1/32 finals, the 34-year-old from Kiev met with the American Lauren Davis (No. 52 WTA), but the latter refused to continue the match with the Ukrainian in the second set.
At the time the fight was stopped, our compatriot won the first set and was leading in the second – 6:3, 1:0. In the next round, Lesya will face 22-year-old Canadian Bianca Andreescu (No. 36 WTA).
