(ANSA) – NAPLES, NOV 19 – Telling the story of a child who was born in poverty realizes his dream and becomes a football legend: this is the aim of the exhibition dedicated to Diego Armando Maradona which will be hosted in the premises of “Villa dei Marchesi Cappelli “, in Pollena Trocchia, in the Vesuvian area, starting next November 25th. A project realized thanks to the Vignati association which has made available all the relics kept in the Maradona Museum to allow the story of the football and human story of the ‘Pibe de oro’ which comes to life, one year after his death, through the photos, the objects, the trophies, the direct testimonies of those who knew him personally.

The location was not chosen by chance – explains a note – because Villa Cappelli, in addition to being in itself a place of considerable historical and artistic value in the municipality of Pollena Trocchia, is also located inside the institute of the Compassionist nuns who , with their educational activities, they do their utmost for children who, just like Maradona, come from disadvantaged social backgrounds.
