(ANSA) – ROME, DECEMBER 04 – The cards on the table are changing in view of the qualifying sessions for the Formula One Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, with Red Bull lapping faster than Mercedes.
Max Verstappen on the Jeddah circuit set the best lap (1: 28.100) after mounting the soft compound tires. The Dutchman overtook Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), second (+0.214) and in the world rankings by eight points, who was unable to improve his time after riding the red tires. The Briton was the fastest in yesterday’s two free practice sessions. Third was Sergio Perez’s Red Bull (+0.529), ahead of Yuki Tsunoda’s (+0.541) and Pierre Gasly’s (+0.615) AlphaTauri. Ferrari seventh and eighth, with Charles Leclerc (+1.001) and Carlos Sainz (+1.049). To close the top ten Esteban Ocon on Alpine (+1.077) and Lando Norris on McLaren (+1.200) (ANSA).
