(ANSA) – ROME, DECEMBER 04 – Twenty years of unforgettable and unrepeatable journalism lessons for those who have had the good fortune to be able to experience them firsthand. Memories, anecdotes and stories by Giorgio Tosatti all told in one go by his colleagues and by those who loved him. All this in ‘Caro maestro’ coming out almost 15 years after the death (next February) of what can be considered one of the greatest Italian sports journalists of the last half century. And next July it will be 40 years since the edition that set the national record of copies sold of Corriere dello Sport-Stadio, one million and 700,000, coinciding with Italy’s victory at the World Cup in Spain, directed by Tosatti.

The book is a collection of lived testimonies concerning Giorgio Tosatti’s journalistic career reconstructed by all the actors (journalists, typographers, secretaries, etc.) who collaborated with him during the course of his professional life. The introduction is by Daniele Tosatti, Giorgio’s son. The first preface by Signora Ivana, Giorgio’s wife, the second preface by Bruno, Giorgio’s other son. The authors of the various memories are over 50 including: Sergio Neri, Enrico Maida, Luigi Ferrajolo, Antonio Corbo, Alberto Polverosi, Mauro De Cesare, Fulvio Solms, Adalberto Bortolotti, Enzo D’Orsi, Stefano Barigelli, Gianfranco Coppola, Alessandro Vocalelli, Italo Cucci, Mario Arceri, Massimo Perrone, Renato D’Ulisse, Franco Pagliari, Franco Recanatesi, Antonio Maglie, Fabio Capello (Tosatti was appointed ad honorem technical director), Franco Order, Dario Torromeo, Fabio Monti.

The publisher is Carlo Fontanelli, owner of Geo Edizioni in Empoli and the proceeds from the book will go to the Heal foundation. (HANDLE).
