(ANSA) – ROME, DEC 15 – Last laps on the track before the holidays for the Formula 1 drivers, at least those engaged today in Yas Marina for post-season tests in preparation for 2022. For Ferrari on the Abu Dhabi circuit Carlos Sainz, after yesterday’s work with the ‘mule cars’ and 18-inch tires was carried out by Charles Leclerc.
For the other teams – all remained in the Emirates for this important working window – the ‘owners’ include George Russell with Mercedes, Sergio Perez with Red Bull, Fernando Alonso with Renault, Lando Norris with McLaren and the Chinese Zhou with Alfa Romeo. Sebastian Vettel, driving the Aston Martin, got stuck on the track causing a half hour of red flag. On the track today there is only one of the ‘young’ drivers, Robert Shwartzman with the Haas, who had also lapped yesterday. After a break, the program foresees that the tests last up to 15 Italian hours. (HANDLE).
