(ANSA) – LOS ANGELES, DEC 27 – Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum has been included in the list of players in quarantine according to the anti-Covid protocol, his team announced, and he will not play against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Tatum, 23, who is currently playing the season with an average of 25.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game, had already been sidelined for two weeks in January when he contracted the virus.

He is the ninth Boston player to be quarantined after Enes Freedom (formerly Enes Kanter), Bruno Fernando, Justin Jackson, CJ Miles, Aaron Nesmith, Josh Richardson, Dennis Schroder and Grant Williams. There are currently 124 NBA players in solitary confinement. John Collins (Atlanta Hawks), Charlotte Hornets players Miles Bridges, Cody Martin, PJ Washington and Chicago Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball had already been placed in solitary confinement on Sunday. NBA rules require players with anti-Covid protocol to go into solitary confinement for ten days until they register two negative tests in ;; a 24-hour period. (HANDLE).
