Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is building his first superyacht, which will be the largest private sailboat in the world.

The city of Rotterdam in the Netherlands is even partially dismantling the old De Hef bridge so that the new $177 billion Y721 superyacht can pass under it.

Its length will be 127 m. Officially, neither the shipyard nor the billionaire himself commented on the information about the construction of the yacht.
The first photos appeared in October 2021 on Instagram by German photographer Tom van Oossanen. At the beginning of February 2022, a video from the testing of the yacht appeared.
Bezos is expected to receive the yacht in early 2022. The superyacht is modeled after the famous Oceanco Black Pearl – one of the largest and most environmentally friendly sailing yachts in the world.
The boat was created in parts at the Zwijnenburg shipyard and then assembled at the Oceanco shipyard in Zwijndrecht. In addition to it, a support vessel will be built – another yacht with a helipad.
The latter will accompany Bezos’ main yacht. Demolition of a historic bridge in the Netherlands will cost at least $20 million.
