(ANSA) – MILAN, MARCH 03 – The equivalent in cryptocurrency raised to support the resistance in Ukraine rises to over 36 million dollars. This was stated in a report by Merkle Science that put together the funds sent through the main blockchain-based digital currencies: bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin. Merkle claims to have identified 13 cryptographic addresses associated with the cause. Two of these are official government wallets, first shared on Twitter on February 26. The others refer to associations and non-profit organizations, which are supporting the purchase of essential goods and gasoline to allow citizens to leave the country. The government of Kiev, the Return Alive Foundation, UkraineDAO and the Ukraine Emergency Fund of Binance Charity are the main beneficiaries of the donations, although dozens of groups have been asking for financial aid in the form of cryptocurrency for days. Among these, as Merkle recalls, the Cyber ;; Partisans team, a collective of Belarusian anonymous cyber activists. Emerging in September 2020, he said he wanted to work with volunteer hackers to help the Ukrainian military fight cyber-based invaders.
