2022 will be the year of all changes for Apple

Apple began a new turn in its history last year with the launch of the Apple Silicon chips. This year was for its part rich in surprises, in particular with the change of look of the iMac. And the firm would count on continuing its momentum next year.

Everything is going well for Apple. Sales are strong, the company is making strong profits and its share value is doing well.

Despite the idyllic situation that it seems to be living for a few years, the company decided in 2020 to step out of its comfort zone by initiating a new change of architecture.

Apple to launch new product designs in 2022

With its experience on Ax chips, it has indeed undertaken to migrate all its Macs to its own architecture: the Apple Silicon. With the results that we know. The M1, which is however a consumer-oriented chip, offers better performance than many processors positioned on a high-end segment.

After focusing on the MacBook Air, the 13-inch MacBook Pro and the Mac Mini, the company put the cover back earlier this year by launching the Apple Silicon version of the iMac. A totally redesigned iMac, much more colorful and with a unique design.

However, if we are to believe Mark Gurman, Apple should continue its momentum in 2022 by starting the redesign of a number of products. After the new MacBook Pro expected at the end of the year, the brand should therefore change the design of several of its products. The journalist cites in particular the MacBook Air, AirPods Pro, iPad Pro and… the Mac Pro.

The affected MacBook Air, the same for AirPods Pro, iPad Pro and Mac Pro

So, over the next year, these four products should be refreshed from head to toe. If of course something new is to be expected on the technical side, they would also introduce a whole new look.

The MacBook Air should logically borrow a lot from the new MacBook Pro, with flat edges and more angular lines. For the rest, however, it will be a surprise.

While it seems logical that Apple is looking to renew its lines next year, it may be useful to note that many observers expected a redesign of the Apple Watch Series 7. Now as you know, this was not the case.

Rumors have it that the redesign in question was canceled at the last moment, but caution is still required.
