You know, for some time Ikea has launched some very interesting ranges of electronic products. For example in the connected lamps there is the whole range of lamps and Trådfri hub. And in connected speakers, there is the Symfonisk range of solutions – developed in partnership with Sonos.
The originality of this range of accessories is to ensure to deliver quality sound, while being as discreet as possible. In 2019, Ikea and Sonos launched a Symfonisk speaker in the form of a bedside lamp. The very designer lamp is also still sold for € 179. Given the success of the product, Ikea and Sonos have decided to launch a new version in October 2021.
A new Symfonisk speaker (Ikea + Sonos) is coming
The new Symfonisk lamp is in fact completely modular, and therefore can be bought in pieces. There are two colors – white and black, several types of lampshades, and two shapes of speakers / stands. Ikea explains: “Since we launched the first Symfonisk lamp-shaped speaker, we have learned a lot about how and where the accessory was used. For example, many people use this speaker lamp on the nightstand, which has led us to create a new base for the lamp, a little smaller ”
Ikea continues “We now offer our customers more design choices, which allows the lamp to blend in with more interiors. […] by integrating the speaker at the base of the lamp, we can save space, reduce clutter, and create an atmosphere that combines sound with light ”.
But it’s not just about design: “In addition to its smaller size and number of design options, the new Symfonisk table speaker lamp delivers more spacious sound that fills the room more, resulting in an exceptional listening experience wherever you want it. place in your accommodation ”.

Ikea explains in fact that it has profoundly modified its architecture with a custom-designed acoustic waveguide. The accessory connects via WiFi and can be used alone or with other Sonos and Symfonisk speakers. The product will be available in stores and on the Ikea website in selected European markets from October 12 – before wider availability from 2022.
