Today there was a global failure of the popular social networks Facebook, Instagram, Tik-Tok and others. Users cannot access their pages, but this is not the worst thing.

There are already rumors on the web that the data of one and a half billion users went to hackers! The data contains usernames, email addresses, phone numbers, location, gender, and user ID.

The data can be used for phishing and account hijacking attacks, privacyaffairs.com reports.

However, later the publication clarified that this is completely not related to global shutdown of Facebook on October 4th… The seller confirmed the presence of the base at the end of September.

The sellers claim to have obtained the data through parsing, not account hacking. Parsing is the process of extracting or collecting web data in which publicly available data is available and organized into lists and databases.

Facebook has not yet disclosed any specific reason for the failure, the company said in a message: “We are working to get everything back to normal as soon as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”

As we reported earlier, due to the failure of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg has already lost $ 6.6 billion. The shares of the world’s largest companies are falling rapidly.
