Spotify tests playlist commentary podcasts

(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 18 – Spotify could soon allow users to record short commentary podcasts to music albums and playlists. The function is currently being tested for some Vietnamese users, there is no officiality that it is actually extended to all but often the tests are the anticipation of a subsequent extension.

According to the indiscretion that appeared on Reddit, in practice at the end of listening to a playlist a window appears asking if you want to record an audio comment, to which you can perform a short editing even by inserting background music for example.

For tech site TechCrunch, the popular music streaming app in New Zealand is also experimenting with a similar feature. A mode that suggests Spotify’s desire to push more and more on personal content and podcasts. A few weeks ago it announced the acquisition of Findaway an audio streaming platform that allows its users to create and distribute their own audiobooks. (HANDLE).
