(ANSA) – MILAN, NOV 19 – Apple employees will return to the various company offices from February 1, as part of a new pilot project that still focuses on a hybrid way of working. This is confirmed by a note sent by the CEO Tim Cook to the workers and obtained from The Information website. According to the communication, the return to full capacity in the office will not take place before mid-2022, with a gradual return plan. From February, employees will go to the office for one or two days a week, while from March it will reach three. The organization in shifts will make it possible to avoid overcrowding of the spaces. For teams that have a greater need to work in person, there will be exemptions to spend more time in the office. There remains, for everyone, the possibility of working remotely up to a period of four weeks a year, an increase compared to the two weeks announced by the American giant at the beginning of 2021. “This offers more opportunities to travel, to be closer to the loved ones or just change the routine, “Cook told employees. The CEO unveiled the hybrid work plans in June, assuming a return to the office this September. The deadline was then moved to October and January, before the most recent in February. On that occasion, a group of Apple employees wrote a letter to Cook calling for a more flexible company policy that would allow anyone to work from home without restrictions. The hybrid work mode will continue until mid-2022 for Facebook. Among the other big names in the sector, Microsoft approved permanent smart working a year ago. As already pointed out in the past, Apple and other companies are looking to the evolution of the pandemic situation to adapt their strategies to the various indications of health protection.
