(ANSA) – ROME, DECEMBER 03 – The vast majority of Italian doctors live fake news like hell. For more than nine out of ten (93%) it is a real threat to professional activity. And, despite one in five have experienced this abuse on their own skin, just over half of them (64%) know that the “right to be forgotten” guarantees the cancellation of their personal data published on the web. As a result, nearly 80% of the victims tried to solve the problem on their own.
These are just some of the data that emerged from the survey promoted by Consulcesi on over 1,323 professionals in Italy.
The report shows that over 60% of health professionals involved in the research are interested in a service that allows them to verify the content posted on the internet related to their name and potentially harmful to privacy and digital image. In particular, healthcare professionals would like to have access to a service that is simple to use, reliable and safe. According to the study, 58% of the sample interviewed stated that they consult generic information newspapers, while 57% of specialized online newspapers. 43%, on the other hand, surfs social networks daily. 80% use emails or letters to communicate with customers, they follow phone calls (64%).
