Iran, on nuclear ‘we will not cross our red lines’

“The Vienna talks have reached a sensitive stage but Iran will never cross its red lines under any conditions and will continue on its path in a determined way.” This was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, according to reports from the IRNA agency, about the negotiations underway in the Austrian capital between Iran, Russia, China, France, Great Britain and Germany to revive the nuclear agreement found in 2015.
“In general, we are optimistic about the talks and we hope that the few remaining issues will be resolved thanks to realistic action by the Western participants and that they ensure that they return to their commitments under the 2015 pact,” he said. Amirabdollahian during a joint press conference with Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi in Tehran.
“We have received many positive messages from the US to have a direct interview but there have been no concrete steps on their part to prove their good intentions, talks of this type should lead to the achievement of advantages for Iran” said the minister.
Since negotiations began in Vienna on 29 November, Tehran and Washington have never had direct talks but have only exchanged messages through the mediation of the European Union.
