In an intense nine-minute video posted on Twitter, Arnold Schwarzenegger speaks to his fans and Russian soldiers to “tell them what they don’t know.” And then he also turns to Vladimir Putin: “You started this war, you are waging this war, you can stop this war”.
The actor and former governor of California in the film in English and subtitled in Cyrillic recounted his personal experience, professing admiration for those who protest against the war in Russia as his “new heroes”. And he explained what is not revealed by the Moscow government. “The government has told you that it is a war to denazify Ukraine, it is not true. Ukraine is a country with a Jewish president,” he said, noting that seeing the images of this conflict reminds him of the atrocities of the Second world War.
