(ANSA) – TEL AVIV, 21 MAR – “Personally I believe that the Shoah should not be compared to anything”. Thus Prime Minister Naftali Bennett responded to the statements of President Volodymyr Zelensky in his speech yesterday to the deputies of the Knesset in which he evoked the Shoah to describe the situation in Ukraine. However, Bennett recalled that “the country and the Ukrainian people are in the midst of a serious war. Many hundreds of dead, millions of refugees. I cannot imagine what it would be like to be in his place”. Bennett also said that progress has been made in Israel’s mediation between Russia and Ukraine but the distances are “very large”.
