(ANSA) – ROME, APRIL 04 – The British Ministry of Defense has released its latest intelligence report, suggesting that the capture of Mariupol is a key target of the Russian invasion. The Guardian reports it. “Heavy fighting continued in Mariupol as Russian forces attempt to take the city – reads the tweet of the British Ministry of Defense -. The city continues to be the subject of intense and indiscriminate attacks, but the Ukrainian forces maintain a strong resistance, and control in the central areas “.
The report also states that “Mariupol is almost certainly a key target of the Russian invasion as it will ensure a land corridor from Russia to the occupied territory of Crimea”. (HANDLE).
